About The Trip

Down river from Devprayag, the Ganga changes into a pool drop river. This stretch of almost 70 kms, is perfect for the amateur and the novice, for here, the river offers some fine Grade III rapids, and two Grade II rapids, the 'wall' at Bysi and the 'Golf Course" 4 kms below Shivpuri village; each followed by deep and placid pools.

Sandy beaches line the river at intervals, allowing river rafters to pull up alongside, for a spot of relaxation. The slopes on either side, are covered with oak, pine, spruce, and fir, with an occasional village and its terraced fields, dotting the landscape. Wildlife can be sighted at a distance, especially spotted deer, monkeys and leopards. Spiritual retreats and ashrams (hermitages) overlook the river, and add a spiritual flavour to this fantastic experience.

Day By Day Itinerary

Day 01: Home-Delhi: Arrive Delhi from home. On arrival at the international airport met by representative, assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight hotel at Delhi.
 
Day 02: Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh: Morning transfer to station to board Shatabdi express to Haridwar. On arrival check-in camp hammock/Riverwild. Time for rest, Day is at leisure for games, swimming, raveling on River Bank Near Laxman Jhoola (suspension bridge) etc, evening free at leisure for beach games like beach volleyball, body surfing, cliff jump etc. We have dinner around camp fire and overnight at camp.
 
Day 03: Rishikesh - Rudraprayag : In the morning enjoy a city tour of Ashrams and Temples and also a visit to Yoga and Meditation centre, afterwards drive to Rudraprayag: confluence of river Mandikini with Alaknanda. Overnight at camps.
 
Day 04: Rudraprayag - Srinagar : Raft down to Srinagar (05 to 06hrs). Overnight at camps.
 
Day 05: Srinagar - Devprayag: Rafting down to Devprayag (05 - 06 hrs) where river Alaknanda merges with River Bhagirathi and forms the Ganges (05-06 hrs). Overnight at camps.
 
Day 06:  Devprayag - Kaudiyala: Rafting up to Kaudiyala (05-06 hrs). Overnight at camps.

Day 07:  Kaudiyala - Shivpuri : Raft down to Shivpuri (05-06 hrs). Overnight at camps.

Day 08:  Rishikesh-Haridwar-Delhi: Morning sightseeing of the holy city of Haridwar and transfer to railway station to board the train to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi met by representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight hotel in Delhi.

Day 09:  Delhi Home: Transfer to International airport to fly home.
