About The Trip

Khardung La pass (5280 m); world highest motorable road has been the wish list of many, be it Jeep Safari, Bikers, ATV, vehicle fitness and test driving and the gate way to the last frontier Nubra valley which houses the most heavily guarded glacier and the highest battle field of the world: Siachen Glacier. This trip is challenging, tough and equally rewording; once we finally reach the beautiful valley of Nubra laterally means; valley of flowers. Nights are spent in the tents in the villages near water sources. A whole team of camping in supporting and backup vehicle follows the bikers all the way.




Day By Day Itinerary

Day 01: Meeting and assistance on arrival at International Airport.  Transfer to Hotel in New Delhi. 
 
Day 02: Morning transfer to the Domestic airport to fly Delhi-Leh. The One hour 15 minutes flight to Leh ( 3505 m) gives magnificent view of the Zanskar and Himalayan ranges of mountain. One can even see the peaks of Nun-Kun mountain (7000 m) emerging from the blanket of clouds. On arrival, met by representative and transferred to hotel. Day complete and we go to rest to acclimatize. Evening assemble the bikes. Overnight hotel at Leh.
 
Day 03: Acclimatization and introductory sightseeing: Guided sightseeing by car; Shey, Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. Evening at Leisure. Overnight hotel at Leh.
 
Day 04: Test Biking and White Water Rafting: 12 km of downhill ride from Leh to Phey village for a thrilling White Water River Rafting of the Indus river.One of the most popular amongst the short river rafting,  this one gives the thrill and twist of a III grade of rapid at places, passes through the rugged mountains and visible trek routes to end up in Nimo villages near the confluence of Indus and Zanskar river. Pack the bikes in the backup vehicle and drive back to Leh. Overnight hotel at Leh.
 
Day 05: Leh-Sarai (4570 m): Ride up hill (80 km)  till Khardung-la pass ( 5380 m ); the highest motorable road in the world. Today is the final test of your acclimatization as you reach at the top of the pass you may feel the lack of oxygen and change of breathing rhythm. About 3 hrs of challenging and exciting cycling rewords you with magnificent view of whole Leh town and the gorges of Indus river and snowcapped peaks of Stok Kangri ranges. Ride back downhill is also exiting with many twist and turns. From here steep descend to 4572 m through rocky and slippery terrain we reach the village of Sarai. Overnight camp at the village

Day 06: Sarai Sumur (3500 m). Start another steep descend of 9 Km through narrow gorge, following the Shayok river for 6 Kms leads to Khalsar village.  From here enjoy normal biking of about 20 km to village of Sumur. Overnight camp at Sumur.
 
Day 07: Visit Deskit and Hunder monasteries. Overnight in camp.
 
Day 08: Sumur Panamik (3000 M). A wonderful biking village to village 22 km through thick scrub jungle and orchids, sand dunes  is truly rewording and you will forget the hardship of the Khargungla climb and the bumpy descends on zing-zag narrow paths. Overnight camp.
 
Day 09: Panamik:  Day leisure biking in Panamik. Overnight camp at Panamik.

Day 10: Panamik-Tiger-Panamik: Excursion to Tiger village and back by biking. overnite camp at Panamik.

Day 11: Nubra-Leh: Drive from Nubra to Leh. Bikes shall be loaded in supporting vehicles. One may also do the reverse route to Leh by biking also. Evening leisure at hotel. Dinner and overnight at Leh.
 
Day 12: Transfer to Leh Airport, to connect flight to Delhi.  Meeting and assistance on arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to Hotel in Delhi. Overnight hotel in Delhi.
 
Day 13: Delhi Home: Transfer to International airport to fly home.
