Introduction

Himachal is  true paradise for mountain bikers; as it provides the beauty of both of the world; thick untouched forest, wild rivers, lush green meadows and on the other side the trans Himalayan region with necked rocky mountains, barren land, no- mans- land without any sign of human. The lower regions which is green is a paradise when you paddle through the picture postcard villages,  you are opt to stop paddling to take a photo here and there. Less or no passes but still high elevated mountain roads with zig-zags and sometimes great slops, we use Hotels, Guest Houses and camp sites for the nights.

The ultimate challenge is the Manali to Leh expedition in which one needs to paddle on average 60 Kms a day on these high altitude (Max. 5280 M) and it is definitely meant for experienced and professionals only. Any of these trip can be accompanied thoroughly with mobile camping thus breaking the runs in shorter distance or one can do it part in hotels and part camping to match ones capability. Thus most preferred is the cycling with camping which makes it easy through the rough terrain and high passes but some die-hards finds tents non comfortable and prefer to push their paddle to the max and get a hot shower at hotel or guest house at next stopover. Choice is entirely yours, Himachal has something for all.
