About The Trek

This is one of the most sought after and rewarding trip that any one can take. The journey starts with an acclimatization sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city for few days and take a wonderful flight into the Everest region in Lukla town (9,350 Ft). to begin our trek into the Khumbu region. A wonderful view of the Himalayan mountains from Lukla is breathtaking on a clear day.

The trail takes us through tiny and remote Himalayan villages of Sherpas and Buddhist population. We also visit old Buddhist monasteries. As we enter the Dudh Kosi River to Namche Bazaar which is the gateway to the Kumbu region the views get more breathtaking which includes the Ama Dablam, Mr. Everest and Lhotse peaks. In this trip we also do a climb to the Kala Pattar which is at 18,450 ft from where we can have a panoramic view of Sagamartha (Mt. Everest), the Mother Goddess of the World (29,030 feet), and Lhotse (27,560 feet).




Day By Day Itinerary

Day 01:
Arrive Delhi IGI Airport. On arrival met by representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight hotel at Delhi.  
 Day 02:
Delhi Sightseeing-Delhi-Katmandu: Full day sightseeing of New and old Delhi historical monuments also including the parliament house, India Gate and the National Museum. Evening transfer to International airport. Fly Delhi Kathmandu. Arrive Tribhuvan International Airport in Katmandu and be met by representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03:
Kathmandu: Morning after breakfast we leave for sightseeing of Kathmandu city including durbar square, Kumari Ghar, Swayambhunath stupa and Patan city (city of Art). Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 04:
Kathmandu-Nagarkot: After breakfast, we'll visit Bhaktapur one of the old city in Kathmandu. After the sightseeing, we'll continue our journey to Nagarkot 2300m above the sea level. This spot provides an excellent view of the sunset and Mt. Everest can be seen on a clear day. Overnight at the hotel in Nagarkot .
Day 05:
Nagarkot-Kathmandu: Wake up early to watch the sunrise spectacular down the first rays of the sun firing the peaks a hillest red slowly lighting of the Himalayas from Kanchenjunga and Everest in the far east of Annapurna and Dhaulagir in the West. After breakfast we'll drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 06:
Kathmandu-Phakding (8,700 ft): Early morning we take a flight to the small village of Lukla (9,350 Ft) by twin engine small craft which is also used for the Everest flight sightseeing. On arrival at Lukla we will meet our trekking team at the airport and start our trek to Phakding which will take about 2.5 Hrs and stay at our first camp at Phakding.
Day 07:
Pakding-Namche Bazaar (11,300 ft): We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day 08:
At Namche Bazaar: Today is a rest and acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. Namche is a colorful village with many wonderful and interesting shops and vendors, fabulous food, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. An early hike above town, before the clouds move in, will reward climbers with a spectacular Himalayan sunrise and views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse (the 4th highest peak in the world), and the beautiful Ama Dablam. On the way down, we can visit the Sherpa Museum that houses an exhibit on traditional Sherpa lifestyle and a fabulous photography display by a local Nepalese naturalist. One room highlights the Sherpa traditions and in another, Sherpa high altitude climbers are presented. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day 09:
Namche Bazaar-Thyangboche (12,887 Ft): The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. We will spend the night next to the Thyangboche monastery, the spiritual center of Khumbu region. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. If our group is lucky, we will see the Lama perform a ceremony and hear the mystical chanting and music. Overnight in camp.
Day 10:
Thyangboche-Dingboche (14,250 Ft): From Thyangboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Overnight in camp.
Day 11:
Dingboche (14,250 Ft): Another rest day. There is the option of taking a light acclimatization hike up the valley for a wider variety of photos of the valley and mountains of the Khumbu region. Overnight in camp.
Day 12:
Dingboche-Dzugla (15,075 Ft): From Dingbouche the trail traverses through farmlands and meadows before continuing along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We will stop in Dzugla, giving our bodies plenty of time to rest and relax amidst the majestic mountains of Nepal. Overnight in camp.
Day 13:
Dzogla-Lobuche (16, 175 Ft): Today's trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. We follow the trail to Lobuche and camp just below the terminal moraine of a tributary glacier. Overnight in camp.
Day 14:
Lobuche-Gorakshep (17,000 Ft): After an early morning start, we ascend Kala Pattar (18,450 feet) and enjoy famous views of the Himalayas, without having to climb Everest! That evening we camp beneath Kala Pattar at Gorak Shep. Overnight in camp.
Day 15:
Gorakshep-Everest Base Camp (17,575 Ft): In the event of bad weather, we have the opportunity for a second chance to climb Kala Pattar. Today we will also continue our trek to Everest Base Camp, located at the foot of the Khumbu icefall. We'll spend the day at Everest/Lhotse Base Camp, giving you a chance to thoroughly explore this historic area. Overnight in camp.
Day 16:
Everest Base Camp-Pheriche (14,000 Ft): We head down the glacier and reenter the lush and beautiful valleys, surrounded by spectacular snow-capped peaks. Upon reaching the village of Pheriche we will visit the Himalayan Rescue Association's Trekker's Aid Post. Overnight in camp.
Day 17:
Pheriche-Namche Bazaar (11,300 Ft): Today we trek back along the Dudh Kosi river through a magnificent rhododendron forest and past brilliant waterfalls. Shortly before reaching Namche, the trek takes us through a pine forest, where musk deer often graze in the early morning. Arriving in town, we may see lowland porters, highland Sherpas, and Tibetan people trading food and supplies during Namche's market time. Overnight in camp.
Day 18: Namche Bazaar-Lukla (9,350 Ft): Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla where we will spend the night. Overnight in camp
Day 19:
Lukla-Kathmandu (4,383 Ft) If the weather is clear, the morning flight back to Kathmandu will be a scenic and smooth farewell to the mountains. B, L, D
Day 20: Kathmandu -Delhi: Departure transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport fly Kathmandu to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi met by representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 21: Delhi-Home. On time departure transfer to International airport, fly Delhi-Home
