About The Trek

This trek gives fantastic mountain views with amphitheater of peaks with Khanchendzonga at the head of the valley. It treads through the base cap of Mount Khanchendzonga on the Emu Glacier in the North. A variety of flowers like rhododendrons, blue poppies and premolars are found all over the valley. The base camp is more then 5000 Mts. And a proper acclimatization is recommended before you start this challenging yet beautiful trek. The acclimatization phase starts from Lachen at 3240Mtr and a gradual gain of more then a 1000 mtrs in four days. The highest point in the trek is the Green Lake base camp itself in the mid of the trek, from where the altitude drops down gradually each day to 3240 Mtr. At Tehlam and to Lachen where we started this round trek.
