About The Trek
Another “off the beaten trek” and less crowded this wonderful route not much frequented, this trek offers a very different landscape and you approach the high Tibetan plateau from DAT. Lush meadows, vast grazing grounds, natural springs and lakes make it the ideal haunt for nomadic shepherds (Changpas) who live here. Chances are that you may see wild asses (Skyangs) which roam these high plateaus. The trek, covering ground between (14’000 ft.) and (17’000 ft.) promises to be a fascinating experience. The trek ends at the high altitude lake of Tso Moriri at Korzok village. An overnight stay is must at this famous tourist place where lots of tourist come in jeeps to visit the lake and stay overnight in the camps. In the right season you may witness migratory birds from all over the world at this lake.
