 About The Trek

Tso Moriri Lake is situated at 15000 ft. (4572 M) with its dozen or so houses and its Gompa appearing like a mirage among the barren hills, is the only permanent settlement in Rupshu valley; otherwise the region is inhabited only by nomadic Chang-pa herds people.  The trek starts from Kibber which is famous for the Spiti horses and snow leopards. The trek is more commonly known as the Parang la trek which is the toughest part of the trek to cross (5600 M). The special attraction of this trek are the wild life and the nomadic people with their herds. Some river crossings are there and the campsites are the most breathtaking compare to any trek in Ladakh and Himachal. Average walking per day is about 5-6 Kms with both combination of flat and stiff surfaces.
