Introduction

The tribal district of Himachal Pradesh, Kinnaur consists of POOH, MOORANG, NICHAR and SANGLA.  According to the 1991 census, it has been recently thrown open to the visitors and now one can start from Shimla to Kinnaur, Spiti, and Lahaul to Manali.

Kinnaur is in the lap of the high Himalayan Mountains rugged and terrain which has fascinating and beauty of its own. Last but not the least, for the anthropologist, scholars, writers and artists the attractive tribal inhabitation of this tribal region where the Hindu, Buddhist cultures meet. Area of Kinnaur is about 640 Sq. Km

Day By Day Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi: Depart home for New Delhi. Met by representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel of your choice in Delhi.
 
Day 02: Delhi - Shimla. Board morning train `Himalayan Queen' at 0600 hrs for Kalka. Change to toy train for Shimla. Over night at Shimla.
 
Day 03: Shimla-Sarahan: Take about 9 hours from Shimla to Sarahan visit to famous Bhimakali temple and overnight in camp.
 
Day 04: Sarahan-Rakchham: (Sangla Valley) The natural sc3enery all around and the internal snow view are picturesque. On the way visit to Kamroo castle in Sangla and overnight in camp at Rakchham.
 
Day 05: Rakchham-Akba-Ribba via Kalpa. This day visit to Chitkul the last village in the Baspa valley. Visit to temple of local goddess Mathi said to have constructed about 500 years age. Same day drive to Kalpa sightseeing in Kalpa and overnight in camp at Akba near Ribba village.
 
Day 06: Akba-Yangthang. 6 hours drive on the way visit to Moorang village and camp at Yangthang.
 
Day 07: Yangthang-Kaza 7 hours drive visit Nako Lake, a high altitude lake on a mountain top and Taboo Gompa in Spiti. Camp at Sichling near to Kaza.
 
Day 08: Visit to Danker: Lalung monastery and to Pine valley camp at Sichling. 

Day 09: Visit to Kye and Kibber: The highest road and village in Asia. Camp at Sichling.
 
Day 10: Kaza-Chotadara: 7 hours drive to Chotadara overnight camp.

Day 11: Chotadara-Manali: 7 hors drive over Rohtang pass overnight check into hotel in Manali.
 
Day 12: Manali-Chandigarh-Delhi: Drive from Manali to Chandigarh approximately 6 hrs. On arrival board the Shatabdi Train to Delhi which leaves around 6:30 pm and arrives New Delhi at 09:45 pm. Met by representative at the railway station and transfer to hotel. Overnight hotel in Delhi.
 
Day 13: Delhi Home: Transfer to International airport to fly home.
