Climbing in Garhwal-Kumaon : With its variable and challenging altitudes, Garhwal-Kumaon region provides you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the adventurous sport of Climbing. Situated almost at the centre of the Great Indian Himalayan chain, the Garhwal-Kumaon regions have more than 250 peaks soaring up to a height of around 5,500 metre. How to Reach Uttaranchal by Air: The state has its only airport in Jolly Grant, which is close to the state capital Dehradun. Nearly all public and private airlines operate regular flights to Dehradun.

How to Reach Uttaranchal by Road: Although Uttaranchal is a very young state in India, an extensive road network covers the state. The state has excellent road connection with Delhi and state highways link the destinations and important places like Corbett National Park, Haridwar, Rishikesh of the state to each other
