About The Tour

The Safari takes you to petit villages deep inside the otherwise once inaccessible by wheels, past raging rivers, stop to admire breathtaking water falls, blooming rhododendron forests and play on snowfields at the bottom of snow capped Himalayan peaks. Both the areas; Sikkim and Bhutan are quit favorable for Motor biking as the roads are well maintained. During this Motor biking expedition we rest for the nights in comfortable hotels and the program can also be changed to camping and hotel or all camping with mobile kitchen and staff if one wish to go beyond the beaten paths and more deeper into the hills and valleys. It provides an amazing variation in altitude and tropography.

Day By Day Itinerary

Day 01:	Delhi: Depart home for New Delhi. Met by representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight hotel in Delhi.
Day 02:	Delhi-Bagdogra-Darjeeling: Morning after breakfast transfer to Domestic airport and fly Delhi-Baghdogra. On arrival met by local representative and transfer to Darjeeling and check-in hotel. Day at leisure. Evening walk around the local market area. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 03:	Darjeeling: Today we do the preparation and adjusting the motor bikes and do a test ride and sightseeing of Tiger Hill for sunrise views of Kanchenjunga range. Rest of the day sightseeing ride and visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoo, Observatory Hill and Ghoom Buddhist Monastery. Dinner and overnight in Hotel in Dajreeling.
Day 04:	Darjeeling-Gangtok: Morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel and ride to Gangtok along the Teesta river throught the Teesta valley. On arrival in Gangtok check in hotel. Evening leisure at the hotel or walk around the local market area. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 05:	Gangtok - Pelling (120 km); 5 hrs : We start the ride at 08:00 am after breakfast in the hotel. The ride is pleasant, we will be passing through beautiful villages, chortens, jungles and small Himalayan streams along the trail. There are numerous interesting places that one can capture the scenery, hence our itinerary is designed to cover the area comfortably. We will have our lunch at Ravangla on the way in available restaurant entoute. Finally we will arrive at Pelling and transferred to hotel Newa Regency.
Day 06:	Pelling - Khecheopari Lake Yuksom (approx 110 km); 4 hrs: We will start our leisurely trip as usual having breakfast at 0830. Since we are in more remote area the ride will definitely be more pleasant, enjoy the great landscape. This is the day we have more relax and explore the area including the sacred Lake â€œKhacheopariâ€ then visit another beautiful place called Yuksom, it is the first capital of Sikkim which literaly means meeting place of three Lama.
Day 07:	Yuksom Tashiding Legshep-Jorethang-Gangtok (approx 130 km); 7 hrs : Proceed to Gangtok via Tashiding Monastery, Legshep which is famous for hot spring and with other many myths and mystiries. we also by-pass Jorthang the second biggest market of Sikkim .Lunch at Melli then we proceed back to Gangtok. over night at hotel Sonam Palgey.
Day 08:	Gangtok Phuntsholing via Kalimgpong (approx 200 km): We start the tour after breakfast at the hotel as usual. We will follow the first 92 kilometers from Gangtok to Tiger bridge where we already been on the second day then we cross the bridge over the Tista River that is the only high way to Bhutan. After riding an approximate two and half hour we will arrive to the India-Bhutan Border town called Jaigaon, transfer to the hotel.
Day 09:	Phuntsholing Thimpu (Bhutan approx 174 km); 6 hrs: As we are at the border, we will do the immigration formalities both in India and Bhutan. We will meet the Bhutanese guide for our two-day tours in Bhutan. The route follows the first road in Bhutan which was built in 1962 by Dantak, the Indian Border Roads Organization. Our riding will mainly be concentrated to explore the area and see as much as we can. Hence we will be stopping 5 or 6 different places (Rinchending, Gedu, Chhukha, Chapcha, Chhuzom then Thumpu) for little bit of sightseeing or photographing. All of these places have their own characteristics and very much interesting to visit.
Day 10:	Thimpu- Phuntsholing (Second day in Bhutan, 174 km); 6 hrs: We will start our tour after breakfast at 0800. Explore Bhutan by the motorbikes and overnight in a hotel at border.
Day 11:	Phuntsholing Bagdogra-Fly Delhi (approx 175 km); 5 hrs: After early breakfast we will drive to Bagdogra (leave the bikes there), transfer to the airport and fly to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi met by representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.
Day 12:	Delhi - Home: Transfer to International airport to fly home.
